Robert Alt joins the Case in Point podcast were he and the host delve into Robert’s experience as a mountain climber and his recent ascent of Mt. Everest. 

In his talk at Hillsdale College, Robert Alt explains how Hillsdale students could use the methods he had learned climbing Mt. Everest to overcome their own Everests in life.

In an Alumni Feature article on Robert Alt, Azusa Pacific University noted that it “has numerous alumni who have gone on to accomplish impressive feats, but relatively few people in history can say that they have successfully climbed Mount Everest.”

Robert Alt, the Founder of PROFOUND CLIMBING™, never got to complete a major climbing expedition with his father when he was alive. He is now on a journey to bring his father’s ashes to the Seven Summits — or the highest mountain on each continent.

The Columbus Dispatch covered Robert Alt’s Mt. Everest Summit. “This isn’t where Alt’s journey ends, however. On Profound Climbing, Alt shared his plan to climb the Seven Summits of the World, or the tallest mountain on each of the seven continents.”

Cleveland.com highlighted Robert Alt’s summiting Mt. Everest. “Everest is the fifth peak Alt has collected from the ‘Seven Summits,’ a mountaineering challenge to climb the highest peak on each of the world’s seven continents.”

Robert Alt sat down with Nepal’s premier business magazine, Business 360, for a conversation about free market ideas, public policy, and the lessons mountaineering can offer to those working to shape a more prosperous and accountable future.

Cleveland.com heard that Robert Alt was “On the Move” and climbing Everest. He certainly is.

“Our friend and leader Robert Alt is on the mend after his attempt to summit Mount Elbrus in Southern Russia took a turn for the worse.”

“While attempting an ascent of Mount Elbrus in southern Russia, …[Alt was] stricken with high-altitude pulmonary edema, a potentially fatal illness. It took an international effort to secure his health and journey home,” writes The Columbus Dispatch.

Robert Alt returned home after a serious health issue he encountered while climbing in remote and rugged rural Russia, a dramatic event that was covered extensively in a report by Columbus, Ohio’s NBC4.
